Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an enriching contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist working with students from PreK through 12th grade. This role offers the chance to have a positive impact every day by supporting young learners as they develop critical life and academic skills within a collaborative and welcoming school environment. The district is eager to meet candidates, with interviews available as soon as this week.

Key Qualifications:

Active licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Florida Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued Understanding of IEP processes and ability to document progress in alignment with educational goals Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, staff, and administrators Flexibility and adaptability when managing a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and deliver individualized therapy services to students in PreK-12th grade Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and other support staff to develop and implement effective interventions Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to plans tailored to each student's unique needs Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies to maximize student participation and achievement Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
