Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through personalized therapeutic interventions. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assess, plan, and implement tailored treatment programs across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. Your expertise will empower individuals of all ages— from pediatrics to geriatrics— to achieve their fullest potential. Duties Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities, including assessments related to ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), mobility, cognition, and sensory processing. Develop and implement customized care plans that align with each patient's goals, medical needs, and treatment progress. Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, and educators—to coordinate holistic care strategies. Facilitate discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back home or to other care settings through education and resource linkage. Work with individuals with disabilities or developmental conditions such as autism in various environments like schools or outpatient clinics. Manage case documentation meticulously, maintaining accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective jurisdiction. Proven experience working in acute care settings such as ICU or inpatient hospital units; ICU experience is highly valued. Experience in post-acute care environments including skilled nursing facilities and home health services. Familiarity with pediatric populations through early intervention programs or school-based therapy; experience working with children with autism or other developmental disorders is preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assess and treat diverse conditions. Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs across outpatient clinics or outpatient therapy settings.
