Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence. Support discharge planning by coordinating care strategies with multidisciplinary teams and family members. Provide therapy sessions for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, and patients recovering from acute or post-acute care episodes. Document clinical progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems and maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to regulatory standards. Collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, case managers, educators, and other professionals to optimize client outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by the state or country of practice. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment techniques relevant to occupational therapy. Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorders and supporting clients through evidence-based interventions. Ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Skilled in medical documentation and proficient in electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and family education. Familiarity with implementing occupational therapy programs that support early intervention, pediatric occupational therapy initiatives, occupational health strategies, geriatrics care plans, and physical rehabilitation protocols.
