Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, and sensory processing. Assist clients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence. Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transitions across care settings. Support individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, and those requiring pediatric occupational therapy interventions. Document clinical progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's needs. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in accordance with state or national regulations. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in pediatric occupational therapy settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based practice principles. Experience assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, and implementing occupational therapy programs across inpatient, outpatient, home health, skilled nursing facilities, or school environments. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management and clinical documentation standards. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within interprofessional teams. Prior experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Ability to adapt treatment plans based on client progress and evolving clinical guidelines.
