Kissimmee Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) - Per Diem to join our healthcare team. This position offers flexible, as-needed scheduling to support patient care needs. The ideal candidate will evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence in daily living activities, enhance safety, and promote overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients' functional status, including activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, and functional performance Train patients in adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices Assess home environments and recommend modifications to improve safety and independence Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Adhere to ethical, professional, and legal standards of practice
Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Experience in home health, outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively Flexibility to accept visits based on availability Benefits (if applicable): Competitive per-visit compensation Flexible scheduling (as-needed basis) Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education
