Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orientation and Mobility or Special Education, Certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and 1+ years Orientation and Mobility Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in students' lives as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist supporting K-12 learners in the Oviedo/Sanford area. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about empowering students with visual impairments through direct therapy and compensatory services. You'll have the chance to work across schools, adapting to a range of student needs and making a tangible impact throughout the academic year. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to May 25, 2027, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. While traveling between schools, you'll primarily deliver in-person therapy, with some evaluations as needed. Candidates interested in a dynamic, school-based career are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
National Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Licensure Vision certification (required) Valid driver's license Physical copy of professional license (original, not digital) Social Security card Ability to complete required fingerprinting (Form 1403 and Field Print location receipt) I9 documentation (sections 1 and 2 completed) Willingness to complete a demographic form and provide a valid email address Experience working with K-12 students preferred Flexibility to travel between assigned campuses
Responsibilities:
