Wellstar Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver patient-centered rehabilitative care across our Georgia facilities. In this onsite role, you will evaluate functional abilities, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and educate patients and families to promote independence and safety. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support holistic care, document in the EMR, and contribute to quality and process improvement. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and equipment use Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Participate in discharge planning and recommendations for ongoing services or equipment Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice Supervise and mentor assistants or students as appropriate Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensing, and organizational standards Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and IADL training Neurorehabilitation techniques Orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation Home safety and adaptive equipment recommendations Splinting and upper extremity rehabilitation Functional cognition assessment and intervention Patient and family education Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency Interdisciplinary care coordination
