Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current COMS certification through AVCREP Hold a valid GaPSC teaching certificate Proven experience working with students who are visually impaired, ideally across multiple grade levels Adaptable and resourceful, able to move efficiently between different school sites Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly for working closely with IEP teams, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services to a caseload of students, adjusting strategies for a diverse range of ages and abilities Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining thorough, accurate documentation Develop, implement, and update individualized O&M training plans to support each students growth and independence Travel to multiple school locations within the district as required Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support and goal alignment for students
