Work Schedule:
As needed.Temporary:
A staff member may serve in temporary status in a continuous appointment for no more than one year to meet an emergency or temporary need of the University. Employees in this classification will not be eligible for university benefits. Qualifications | Senior Occupational Therapist |Inpatient Acute Care Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
- Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
- 2+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
- 3+ years of experience in one or more assigned areas of responsibility is desired.
- Ability to practice in an autonomous manner.
- Demonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in provision of patient care.
- Demonstrated effort to enhance one's own knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects.
Inpatient Acute Care Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
- Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
- Entry level experience in Occupational Therapy, with proven education in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
- 1-3 years of experience in treating patients with Behavioral Health needs.
- Demonstrated experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
