    Work Schedule:
    As needed.
      Temporary:
      A staff member may serve in temporary status in a continuous appointment for no more than one year to meet an emergency or temporary need of the University. Employees in this classification will not be eligible for university benefits. Qualifications | Senior Occupational Therapist |
      Inpatient Acute Care Required Qualifications:
      • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
      • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
      • 2+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
      • Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.
      • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
      • Demonstrated experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
      Desirable Qualifications:
      • 3+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
      • 3+ years of experience in one or more assigned areas of responsibility is desired.
      • Ability to practice in an autonomous manner.
      • Demonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in provision of patient care.
      • Demonstrated effort to enhance one's own knowledge, skills, and abilities.
      • Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects.

      • Entry level experience in Occupational Therapy, with proven education in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
      Desirable Qualifications:
      • 1-3 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
      • 1-3 years of experience in treating patients with Behavioral Health needs.
      • Demonstrated experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
