Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take on an exciting contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting both elementary and middle school students in a dynamic environment. This role offers comprehensive FMLA coverage beginning with orientation on August 3rd and 4th, and student services commencing August 7th, 2026, continuing through October 15th, 2026. Working 37.5 hours per week onsite, you'll make a real impact while benefiting from a supportive network and numerous resources.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Current Occupational Therapist licensure Previous experience working in a school setting strongly preferred Comfortable supporting both resource and self-contained classrooms Ability to engage with students at elementary and/or middle school levels Effective communication and collaboration skills Responsibilities include: Delivering direct OT services to students per individual education plans (IEPs) Conducting assessments and maintaining documentation using readily available testing materials Collaborating with teachers and multidisciplinary teams during regular collaboration time and monthly meetings Participating in annual performance reviews and ongoing feedback sessions Contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance best practice and efficiency within school-based therapy Engaging with a professional learning community through monthly roundtables and an interactive intranet platform Benefiting from easy access to same-discipline supervisors for mentorship and guidance Taking part in a vibrant "Buddy Program" for new hires to ensure a thorough and supportive orientation Additional perks: Professional development opportunities readily available to increase your skills and knowledge Regular 1:1 check-ins with leadership and inclusion in monthly team meetings Access to all necessary equipment and materials to support your work Step into a rewarding and collaborative school setting where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will support student success. and thrive within a welcoming, growth-focused environment!
