Role Overview:

Responsible for developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, preventing disabilities, and promoting overall health. Acts as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students, ensuring safe patient handling and respectful care.

Key Responsibilities:

Designs individualized care plans with measurable goals and adjusts based on patient response. Performs patient assessments, including examinations and screenings, to determine diagnoses and therapy needs. Creates, fits, and modifies custom splints/orthotics. Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams using effective teaching methods. Coordinates with support personnel, monitors care quality, and provides feedback. Communicates with the medical team and maintains accurate documentation. Serves as a clinical instructor and actively participates in team and departmental activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days. Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field. Strong patient transfer skills, body mechanics awareness, empathy, and effective communication.
