Bring your expertise to a supportive educational setting near Des Plaines, IL, where you'll make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. Collaborate with caring professionals, leverage a variety of OT skills, and help students excel in all areas of their daily and academic lives.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and best practices Familiarity with healthcare and home health OT protocols Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Adaptability and commitment to supporting diverse student needs Ability to manage time effectively in a contract role
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs Deliver OT services across school, teletherapy, healthcare, and home health settings as assigned Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including documentation requirements Monitor and document students' progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings, parent consultations, and staff training sessions Utilize teletherapy technology effectively when servicing remote students
