Qualifications and Experience:
Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active and current OT license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain state licensure) Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and family collaboration Ability to design, implement, and adapt individual and group therapy plans based on student evaluations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' functional abilities and develop customized intervention plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in a school setting Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to foster student success Document outcomes and maintain timely, accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert input on student progress and needs Adapt intervention strategies as needed throughout the school year
