Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of middle schoolers by providing essential occupational therapy services for students in 6th through 8th grades. This is a contract opportunity located near Elgin, IL, starting as soon as possible and extending through May 27, 2027. You'll enjoy a structured schedule working 36.25 hours each week, from 7:15 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch each day. You'll support students both within district programs and an off-campus placement. Settings include general education co-taught classrooms as well as self-contained environments, allowing you to utilize your expertise in a variety of instructional settings.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) program at the master's or doctorate level Completion of required clinical training/fieldwork through an OT program National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam passed, with Illinois verification sent directly to the state Licensed Occupational Therapist in Illinois, with ongoing compliance for continuing education Experience in schools or working with school-aged populations is a plus Familiarity with IEPs and participation in special education teams preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct OT assessments and design individualized intervention plans based on student needs Provide direct and consultative therapy services for students grades 6-8, both in general education and self-contained settings Collaborate effectively with special education teams, teachers, and families Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Travel between on and off-campus placements as assigned This role offers a rewarding opportunity to create meaningful change for students and to work alongside dedicated education professionals.
