Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting early childhood students as an onsite Occupational Therapist, conveniently located near Loves Park, IL. In this full-time role (37.5 hours per week), you'll impact young learners from March 16, 2027, through May 21, 2027. You'll be part of a supportive, professional environment with easy access to an experienced supervisor and robust resources.
What We're Seeking:
Current OT licensure, with demonstrated experience or strong interest in school-based practice. Skills in assessing, planning, and delivering occupational therapy interventions for young children. Collaborative mindset and comfort engaging with educators and other therapists. Commitment to best practices, professional growth, and engaging with process improvements. Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite occupational therapy services for early childhood students, focusing on supporting access to education and functional independence. Administer assessments with provided equipment and testing materials. Collaborate during monthly team meetings, roundtable discussions, and regional intranet for ongoing case consultation and resource sharing. Participate in the "Buddy Program" and orientation activities, actively engaging with mentoring and peer support. Attend professional development courses to enhance school-based OT knowledge. Take part in annual performance reviews and contribute input to enhance the quality of services. Regularly connect with department leaders through scheduled 1:1 check-ins and monthly meetings.
