Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of students while expanding your skills as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This flexible contract position offers the opportunity to serve schools near Mackinaw, IL, providing dedicated support at two convenient locations with a diverse caseload. You'll spend one day each week in Peoria, delivering Occupational Therapy interventions specifically in an Emotional Disability (ED) program. The remainder of your week—three or more days—will be based in Bloomington, where you'll work with students with a variety of needs, including Emotional Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Life Skills programs. This role allows you to collaborate with dedicated educational teams and help students overcome challenges to achieve their fullest potential.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Current Occupational Therapy license in Illinois Experience working in a school-based setting preferred Comfort supporting diverse populations, including ED, Autism, and Life Skills Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students and staff Ability to travel between Peoria and Bloomington as scheduled Key responsibilities: Assess students and develop individualized occupational therapy plans Provide direct and consultative OT services tailored to each student Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom Maintain clear documentation of progress and required reports Participate in IEP meetings and support positive outcomes for students Adapt sessions to meet students' evolving needs in both locations Bring your expertise to these fulfilling and varied school communities with a contract that enables professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference.
