Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students growth and development! Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide expert services within a school-based setting. In this onsite role, you'll deliver specialized therapy to a diverse caseload of approximately 50 resource students across three schools, primarily serving those in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as select students involved in a cross-categorical program. You'll build relationships with students, staff, and families, collaborating to deliver interventions that foster greater independence and academic success. Services will be provided in dedicated classes at each school, following a weekly schedule of 35 hours, beginning on February 1, 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Illinois OT license required Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-5 students and cross-categorical programming Ability to deliver individualized and group therapy sessions in accordance with IEP and 504 plans Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, families, and support staff Flexibility to travel between three school locations
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct student assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement effective therapy services Support IEP development, documentation, and participation in team meetings Adapt strategies and materials to promote student independence and participation in classroom activities Consult and collaborate with educators and families to promote positive outcomes for students
