Job Description
Seeking a passionate and collaborative Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract role supporting students across two educational sites near Rockford, IL. Step into an engaging environment, where your expertise will directly impact young learners of varying ages. Hours follow the standard school schedule (37.5 hours per week), and you'll provide services at just one site per day - making for a streamlined, focused experience. Caseloads are determined by your age-group preference: early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school. Be part of a dedicated team helping students in general education settings and, occasionally, in resource and self-contained classrooms.
Key Qualifications:
Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license Prior experience in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred Skilled in sensory integration and developing/monitoring IEP goals for school-aged children Ability to collaborate with educators and families, contributing to a positive school-based support system Strong documentation skills for student progress and goal tracking
What You'll Do:
Provide direct therapy to students according to assigned caseload and age group Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth Deliver services in inclusive and specialized classroom environments Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment goals Participate in IEP meetings and report on student progress This is a school-year contract position that offers the stability of a W-2 employment arrangement, weekly direct deposit pay every Friday, and employee benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401k matching.
