Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based practice! This contract position is conveniently located near Rockford, IL, and runs from March 16, 2027, through May 21, 2027. Work onsite supporting an early childhood caseload within a collaborative educational setting, helping young students thrive and develop essential skills. This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (IL OT License) is required Experience in pediatric or early childhood caseloads is highly preferred Familiarity with school-based OT services, including direct therapy and consultation Understanding of IEP processes, documentation standards, and progress tracking Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of state and district guidelines and protocols for school
OTs Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to early childhood students onsite Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and progress reporting Document services and maintain compliance with state and district requirements Adapt techniques and strategies to accommodate diverse learner needs Promote skill development in areas such as fine motor coordination, daily living skills, and sensory processing Enjoy a rewarding contract role with these benefits: Competitive weekly pay Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan Make a real difference for students as you foster independence and growth.
