Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an OT or COTA, supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school-based environment. This position is located in the greater Schaumburg area, specifically in Lake in the Hills, IL, and offers 15 hours per week with a schedule tailored to fit your life. You'll work with both students and staff, fostering growth and success across a diverse student population.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Illinois Prior experience working in school settings and familiarity with K-12 students Knowledge of implementing IEP goals and adapting therapy to meet students' educational needs Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with teachers, families, and administrators Ability to maintain detailed documentation and manage a varied caseload A positive, proactive approach and commitment to student development

Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a supportive school-based setting Evaluate student needs and develop individualized intervention plans Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Adapt therapy activities and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students Travel between assigned campuses as needed
