Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from elementary through high school in an engaging educational environment near South Holland, IL. This role is ideal for a skilled Occupational Therapist passionate about making a meaningful difference across various age groups and learning needs. You'll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff, providing push-in services to full classrooms while tailoring interventions for individualized education plans (IEPs) as required.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Illinois Experience across school-based, home health, and general healthcare OT settings is highly desired Comfortable working with diverse student populations, K-12 Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with delivering both classroom-wide and individualized OT support Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain detailed documentation
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver push-in occupational therapy for full classrooms, fostering inclusive participation and skill development Conduct individualized assessments for students with IEPs, developing and implementing targeted intervention plans Support students' daily living, sensory, and fine motor skill advancement within the school context Consult with classroom teachers to adapt activities and environments for optimal student access and engagement Maintain clear, timely records aligned with school and legal standards Engage in problem-solving to ensure equitable access for all students
Contract Details and Schedule:
This position runs from June 3, 2027, with a commitment of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
