Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students on a full-time basis during a maternity leave. This role, running from October 12 through November, focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services in a school setting. Leverage your expertise in direct and remote therapy to make a meaningful difference for students' development and well-being.
Required Skills & Desired Experience:
Active license and certification to practice Occupational Therapy Proven success working in schools and/or with pediatric clients Experience in diverse settings including school-based, healthcare, teletherapy, and home health environments Strong knowledge of special education procedures and IEP documentation Outstanding collaboration and communication abilities with teachers, administrators, and families Flexibility with adapting treatment strategies and schedules as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based OT interventions Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and IEP participation Collaborate with staff and parents to support students' functional success across academic and daily living activities Utilize teletherapy and in-person service delivery, tailoring approaches to individual and group needs Educate students and teams about adaptive strategies, equipment, and classroom modifications Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive school environment This assignment offers a supportive atmosphere where you'll work with passionate educators and make a measurable impact in a tight-knit school community.
