Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
  • Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license issued by the Indiana Occupational Therapy Committee (IPLA)
  • NBCOT certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience (school-based and/or teletherapy preferred)
  • Experience with Indiana IEP processes, fine motor/sensory assessments, and virtual service delivery is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Comfortable using teletherapy platforms, digital resources, and remote intervention tools Key Responsibilities Assessment & Intervention
  • Conduct virtual evaluations to assess fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and functional school participation
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to student needs in a remote format
  • Provide direct teletherapy services focused on educational, functional goals and monitor student progress
  • Use objective data to adapt sensory strategies, motor interventions, and environmental accommodations Collaboration & Support
  • Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, parents, and school staff to optimize student participation and independence
  • Provide practical recommendations for virtual accommodations, adaptive tools, and classroom sensory strategies
  • Participate actively in Case Conference Committee (CCC) / virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary reviews Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of direct service logs, progress notes, and IEP goal updates
  • Ensure all evaluations and therapeutic services strictly comply with Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) standards, Article 7 regulations, and IDEA mandates
  • Complete comprehensive evaluation summaries, eligibility documentation, and required compliance paperwork Technology & Teletherapy Tools
  • Utilize virtual platforms and interactive digital tools to deliver engaging, fine-motor and sensory-focused therapy sessions
  • Adapt activities, visual guides, and therapeutic resources for an effective online learning environment
  • Guide onsite facilitators and families during remote sessions and assist with basic platform troubleshooting Advocacy & Education
  • Support students in utilizing accommodations, adaptive devices, and assistive technologies
  • Provide educational resources, consultation, and guidance to school personnel and families on pediatric motor and sensory development Benefits of Role
