9537939-66212 Job Description A new opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in making a meaningful impact at the elementary school level. This full-time contract position supports two elementary schools during a maternity leave. The assignment spans from August 9, 2026, through December 17, 2026, offering the chance to work with a diverse student population and collaborate in an enriching, supportive educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Active and current OT licensure for the state of Kansas Previous experience working in a school setting, with preference for elementary level Strong understanding of school-based OT practices, including IEP development and progress monitoring Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable handling a varied caseload Ability to adapt therapy plans to individual student needs and school environments

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students as outlined in their IEPs Assess and document students functional and developmental abilities Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals to support student participation Contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting in compliance with district and federal guidelines Utilize creative and evidence-based approaches to address fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills in the classroom Maintain accurate records and timely communication with all stakeholders You will have the opportunity to expand your professional skills while serving a rewarding population.
