Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as an Occupational Therapist. This part-time position (2-3 days each week) offers the chance to positively impact approximately 30 children, working in a welcoming school environment near Frenchburg, KY. Utilize your specialized skills in school-based occupational therapy to help students achieve their developmental and academic goals.

Key Qualifications:

Current Occupational Therapy license in Kentucky Previous experience providing OT services in educational settings Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for school-aged children Organizational skills to manage a caseload of approximately 30 students Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for assigned students Develop and implement individualized OT interventions that support student participation and performance in school activities Collaborate with teachers and other multidisciplinary team members to adapt classroom environments and provide strategies for student success Maintain accurate and timely documentation including session notes and progress reports Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support whole-student needs Educate families and school staff on therapy goals and strategies, ensuring carryover of skills This contract position offers the flexibility to shape your workweek, with the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of children and their educational journeys.
