Job Description

Occupational Therapist I - Pediatrics (Full-Time) Morehead, KY Full-Time | Day Shift Are you passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential? We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist I - Pediatrics to join a collaborative pediatric rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll provide individualized therapy services that promote independence, improve developmental skills, and enhance the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based interventions to improve fine motor, sensory, cognitive, developmental, and functional skills. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes. Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support functional independence. Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs, developmental strategies, and equipment use. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Mentor rehabilitation assistants, technicians, and students as appropriate. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's preferred) Current or eligible Occupational Therapy licensure American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 0-2 years of occupational therapy experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Preferred:
