Job Description

Occupational Therapist I - Full-Time Days Morehead, KY Full-Time | Day Shift Join a dedicated rehabilitation team committed to helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist I to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and early-career therapists looking to grow their clinical skills in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize independence. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and equipment use. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Mentor rehabilitation assistants, technicians, and students as appropriate. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's preferred) Current or eligible Occupational Therapy licensure American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 0-2 years of occupational therapy experience (new graduates encouraged to apply) What We're Looking For Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering compassionate care Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life
