Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a skilled Occupational Therapist. This position offers the chance to work closely with an Early Interventionist Team, providing essential services to children ages 3-4 within a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. With a part-time schedule—approximately 4 hours a day, 4 days per week—you'll enjoy both meaningful work and valuable flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active Louisiana Occupational Therapy License required Experience working in school settings as an Occupational Therapist Commitment to serving early childhood populations, particularly ages 3-4 Strong collaboration skills to partner with multidisciplinary teams and families Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally, as the schedule will alternate between northern and southern areas Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite Occupational Therapy to preschool-age children as part of an Early Interventionist Team Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure integrated support Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing required reports Provide guidance and resources to inform best practices across the early intervention program This assignment is scheduled to begin early August 2026 and extend through late May 2027 (dates may be subject to adjustment).
