Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-8th grade students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through early September, serving in a vibrant educational environment near Donaldsonville, LA.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible to practice in the state Experience providing occupational therapy services within school environments preferred Strong understanding of pediatric and developmental needs for K-8th grade students Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students Ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized therapy plans
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to K-8th grade students, both individually and in small group settings Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs and document progress Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success and access to curriculum Maintain accurate records and adhere to all federal, state, and district protocol and timelines Provide input on adaptive equipment and modifications to promote student independence within the school environment
