Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic, short-term role supporting students and staff through high-impact virtual occupational therapy services. A part-time OT is needed to begin as soon as possible for a contract role lasting one to two months. During this assignment, you'll be instrumental in providing crucial re-evaluations for students across multiple grade levels, conducting PreK evaluations each Friday, and—most importantly—supervising a COTA. Your expertise will directly empower both students' growth and a dedicated clinicians' ongoing professional development. Desired Qualifications and Experience Hold an active Louisiana Occupational Therapy license Prior experience as an OT within a school-based or pediatric setting Skilled at conducting a wide range of evaluations and re-evaluations Previous success supervising or mentoring a COTA or similar role Comfortable and proficient with virtual service delivery platforms Strong organizational and communication skills for remote collaboration Core Responsibilities Provide virtual OT re-evaluations to students in various grade levels Conduct thorough PreK assessments each Friday Serve as the supervisor for a COTA, prioritizing their support and oversight Document and communicate progress, adapting plans as needed Collaborate with school staff, educators, and family members virtually You will play a vital part not only in delivering high-quality therapy but also in upholding program standards through supervision.
