Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through personalized therapy interventions. In this engaging position, you will assess, develop, and implement tailored treatment plans that promote functional recovery across diverse settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical goals and patient-centered outcomes. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence. Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions across care settings. Provide therapy services for diverse populations including pediatrics, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, geriatrics, and individuals recovering from injury or illness. Document clinical progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) and maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to regulatory standards. Support clients through evidence-based interventions for physical rehabilitation, occupational health initiatives, early intervention programs, and outpatient services. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in specialized settings such as inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or school environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice. Demonstrated ability to develop effective treatment plans and conduct occupational therapy assessments tailored to individual needs. Experience working with children with disabilities or students requiring special education support is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health record (EHR) management systems. Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care patients, and those requiring post-acute care or home health services.
