Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling school-based role making a difference for students across two supportive campuses. This part-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist excited to work with both elementary and high school students, helping them reach their potential in an educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Possession of an active Occupational Therapy license in Louisiana Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable Ability and willingness to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and staff Aptitude for conducting PreK evaluations and delivering therapeutic interventions Reliable and organized, able to manage time across two school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students at both Arcadia HS and Crawford Elementary Provide direct intervention in group and individual sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Conduct evaluations for PreK students on Fridays Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements Work closely with teachers and families to develop and implement IEP goals Oversee and support the work of an assigned COTA, ensuring the highest standards of care Travel between assigned school sites as needed This opportunity is part-time, anticipating 20-25 hours per week, giving you flexibility to integrate the role with other professional or personal commitments. Assignments extend through the school year, with a contract completion date of May 21, 2027, offering lasting impact and job stability.
