Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to help individuals of all ages improve their daily functioning and quality of life. Your expertise will support patients across various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs, fostering independence and enhancing overall well-being. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to develop effective treatment plans. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence. Design and implement customized therapy interventions for diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from injury or illness. Coordinate discharge planning by preparing care plans that facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home or other care facilities. Collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and medical staff to deliver holistic patient care. Manage case documentation accurately and maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Provide education and training to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment use to support ongoing recovery at home or in community settings. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid licensure or certification as required by state or country regulations. Proven experience working in acute care settings such as ICU or inpatient units is highly preferred. Experience in post-acute care environments including skilled nursing facilities and home health services. Familiarity with working with individuals with autism, disabilities, or in early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs across outpatient clinics, schools, or outpatient settings. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and with patients' families. Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
