As an Occupational Therapist serving a blend of elementary and select middle school students, you'll play an essential part in helping young learners thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Skill in collaborating with special education teams and general education staff Ability to tailor interventions to diverse developmental and sensory needs Familiarity with IEP-driven documentation and progress updates
What You'll Do:
Provide direct OT services to elementary students and a small group of middle schoolers, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills Assess and document students' needs, progress, and participation in accordance with IEP goals Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate strategies into the classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings as needed, helping develop achievable, targeted goals Maintain clear records and communicate student progress to the educational team This assignment runs from September through December, requiring approximately 5 hours per week—ideal for a therapist looking to supplement a current caseload or focus on a small, impactful group.
