Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of students through a rewarding full-time opportunity as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive school setting near Oxon Hill, MD. This contract role offers the chance to engage with the K-12 student population, working collaboratively with educators and families to help students achieve their fullest potential. With two positions available, you'll join a dedicated community focused on positive growth and student success.

Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification in the state. Prior experience in a school environment is highly valued. Comfortable working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds and needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills to maintain effective relationships with staff, families, and students. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEP goals. Conduct assessments and create comprehensive reports for students' access to educational programming. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on student progress and program modifications. Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by school policies and special education guidelines. Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering training and support for classroom adaptations.
