Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an occupational therapist who thrives on making a difference with school-aged children! This contract role offers meaningful impact in a supportive environment, working directly with students at a single school site each week. The assignment is based onsite, providing direct and indirect occupational therapy-related services to a focused caseload throughout the academic year.
Key Details:
Flexible scheduling: One day per week onsite, and the specific day is adaptable to your availability. Service delivery at one location, ensuring continuity and ease of travel. Support approximately 11 students, delivering about 4 hours of direct services along with indirect hours for documentation and collaboration. Contract period runs from immediate start through June 11, 2027.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current and valid Maine OT licensure/certification. Experience delivering occupational therapy in school settings strongly preferred. Knowledge of pediatric interventions, IEP processes, and familiarity with educational documentation. Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals. Ability to manage caseload efficiently and deliver services with compassion and creativity.
Core Responsibilities:
Assess students and develop individualized intervention plans. Provide evidence-based direct therapy that addresses student goals. Complete required paperwork, progress reports, and data documentation. Communicate and consult with teachers and staff to support student participation in school activities. Comply with ethical, legal, and procedural standards in school-based practice.
