Job Description

Bring your occupational therapy expertise to a supportive educational setting, making an immediate impact on student success and well-being. This contract opportunity is available February through May, with the potential to extend further if a permanent hire is not secured by December. You'll work within a collaborative team, helping students achieve their goals and supporting a positive school environment. Your background in school-based occupational therapy prepares you to address diverse student needs, working alongside educators and families to create meaningful change. This dynamic role allows you to use your skills in adaptive strategies, individualized interventions, and consultative support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Active OT license in Michigan Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt strategies for varying age groups and needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services as specified in IEPs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students developmental and academic success Document evaluation results, interventions, and progress in compliance with school policies and federal regulations Provide recommendations and training for staff regarding adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and sensory supports This role offers the chance to contribute your expertise in a positive, student-focused environment.
