Job Description

Make a positive impact in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers you the chance to support a local district, with a primary focus on elementary-aged learners. Enjoy working closely with a caseload of approximately 25 students during standard elementary school hours, fostering development and empowering each child to reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

Current, valid Occupational Therapist licensure for Michigan Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Prior experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings preferred Strong collaboration skills for partnering with educators, staff, and families Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct occupational therapy services and interventions tailored to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess, plan, and implement therapy strategies that promote student independence and participation within the classroom and school setting Consult with teachers, parents, and school personnel regarding students' progress, adaptive equipment needs, and accommodations Monitor and document ongoing student outcomes, preparing clear evaluation and progress reports Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
