9676315-48126 Job Description Embark on a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist working in a dynamic school setting near Dearborn, MI. This full-time, contract position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on students academic and functional success during the 2026/2027 school year. With a 35-hour workweek and supportive administrative teams, youll be positioned to maximize student outcomes and advance your career in pediatric therapy.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Michigan Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices for school-aged children Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in a diverse educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students motor, sensory, and functional abilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and intervention plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in both individual and group settings Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy strategies across school routines Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and service delivery Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as a valued team member Provide training and support to educational staff to foster inclusive learning environments This position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and fellow professionals, gain valuable experience within a supportive school-centric setting, and enjoy a consistent weekday schedule.
