No Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based occupational therapy services to K-12 students. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' ability to participate, learn, and succeed in the school environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct OT evaluations and re-evaluations using standardized assessment tools. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services. Participate in IEP meetings both in person and virtually. Communicate evaluation findings and recommendations with families and school staff. Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Develop and implement strategies that support student participation and learning in the classroom. Maintain accurate caseload records and documentation. Follow IDEA, Michigan special education requirements, and district guidelines. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as appropriate. Maintain professional communication with students, families, and school personnel. Requirements Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license (LARA), or eligibility for Michigan licensure before starting. NBCOT certification required for Michigan licensure. Ability to successfully complete a Michigan school fingerprint-based criminal background check. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of school-based pediatric experience preferred. New graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork are encouraged to apply. Experience with IEP development, REED, and eligibility processes. Experience working with K-12 students. Familiarity with electronic documentation and caseload management.
