Required Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist license (OT) in Michigan or ability to obtain. Experience delivering OT services in a school setting strongly preferred. Understanding of IEP processes and experience with K-12 student populations. Solid communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other specialists. Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload with excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' functional skills and develop individualized therapy plans to meet their educational needs. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to implement effective strategies and supports in the classroom and other school environments. Document student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Adapt materials and techniques to facilitate student access to the curriculum and school participation. Offer consultation and training to school staff to support the integration of occupational therapy recommendations within daily activities.
