Vision Therapist Vision, Learning and Performance Specialists Northville, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications No experience needed Experience working with children Patient interaction Empathy Full Job Description Vision, Learning & Performance Specialists is growing, and we're looking for the right person to join our vision therapy team! We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and motivated Vision Therapist to work one-on-one with children and adults in our Northville office. We are in Suite 200 of a historic home in beautiful downtown Northville. Our patients range from children with learning-related vision problems and eye turns to adults recovering from concussion, brain injury, vestibular dysfunction, and other neurological conditions. Vision therapy experience is not required — we are willing to train the right person. Experience working with children in education, therapy, healthcare, coaching, childcare, or a similar setting is highly valued. Who we're looking for: Excellent with both children and adults Warm, patient, empathetic, and encouraging Comfortable building relationships with patients and families Energetic and able to make therapy engaging and fun Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Strong communication skills A genuine hunger for learning and professional growth Interested in understanding the why behind what we do—not simply following a list of exercises Open to ongoing training, mentorship, and continuing education What you'll do: Provide individualized, one-on-one vision therapy under the direction of our clinical team Work with pediatric and adult patients with a wide variety of visual and neurological needs Guide patients through activities targeting visual skills, visual processing, eye teaming, tracking, focusing, visual-motor integration, and more Educate and encourage patients and families throughout the therapy process Document patient progress and communicate with the clinical team Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Schedule:
This position may begin part-time while training and has the opportunity to increase in hours as training is completed and a patient schedule is established. Ideal hours include afternoon/early evening and Saturday mornings. Pay will be based on experience and may increase based on training.
