Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Active or eligible Michigan Occupational Therapy license required Experience in educational settings preferred, especially with IEPs, conducting evaluations, and direct therapy Strong communication skills for working with students, educators, and families Flexibility and adaptability to support a diverse caseload (PK-12) Commitment to fostering student independence, self-advocacy, and functional skillsPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services according to students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess, document, and monitor students' progress, adjusting therapy as needed Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a supportive learning atmosphere Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations Maintain relevant records, reports, and comply with state and federal special education regulations Provide consultation and guidance for classroom modifications and assistive equipment as applicable Benefits include guaranteed weekly onsite hours between 20-25 per week, offering stability in your schedule and a consistent opportunity to make a difference across the school year.
