9658460-48310 Job Description Looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school-based setting as an Occupational Therapist? This contract position is available for a skilled and enthusiastic OT eager to make a positive impact on students lives. Work across multiple locations near Sterling Heights, MI, providing essential support to a caseload of 30-40 students. This role is onsite, ensuring hands-on engagement and collaboration with students and staff.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering targeted occupational therapy services to students, designed to foster growth and independence in educational settings. Assessing and developing individualized therapy plans based on students unique needs and IEPs. Collaborating closely with educational teams, families, and other specialists to implement effective therapeutic strategies. Documenting progress and maintaining thorough records in accordance with school policies and state regulations. Attending relevant meetings, providing input on student progress, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Desired qualifications:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy required. Active OT license in Michigan. Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and build positive rapport with staff, students, and families. Must be able to work onsite; virtual roles are not available for this assignment.
