The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals achieve their maximum potential through therapeutic interventions. The Occupational Therapist will provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic activities to enhance the quality of life for clients. You will be working alongside a great team of physical therapists and speech-language pathologists as well as an adorable therapy dog, Charlie Brown. Duties Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children's strengths, weaknesses and abilities. Develop and implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving clients' ability to perform daily activities. Provide hands-on therapy to children aged birth to 18 years. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care. Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding treatment goals and strategies. Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments. Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities. Requirements A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and common childhood disorders. Previous experience working with children in a therapeutic setting and with individuals with disabilities or autism is preferred. Training in feeding therapy preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to develop creative therapeutic strategies tailored to individual client needs. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills preferred.
