Job Description

Step into a valued role providing occupational therapy services to K-12 students at a single school site for the duration of the current academic year. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate professional eager to make a difference with a manageable caseload of students exhibiting mild to moderate needs. Located near Ypsilanti, MI, youll work 20-25 hours per week on-site, allowing you to build meaningful, lasting relationships while supporting student growth in an engaging school environment.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active Michigan Professional license (LARA) required Valid Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Educator certificate Previous school-based occupational therapy experience highly preferred Confident working with mild to moderate K-12 caseloads Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt services and strategies for diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide therapy for students with a range of mild to moderate needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the educational team Document student progress while adhering to state and federal school guidelines Consult with teachers and families to promote carryover of skills in classroom and home settings Participate in IEP meetings and help set attainable goals for student achievement The position welcomes occupational therapists who are open to a travel assignment, provided you meet Michigan's professional and education credentialing requirements.
