This position focuses on providing essential services to students receiving Setting IV special education support in a welcoming school environment near Minneapolis, MN. The role is designed to cover a leave of absence, beginning September 21st and continuing through January 4th, with no required work during winter break and the possibility for extension.
Key Qualifications:
Valid OT license with prior school-based OT experience Demonstrated ability to support students with Setting IV special education needs Previous success in similar educational settings, maintaining good standing from past placements if already credentialed Comfortable meeting onboarding requirements and passing a district background check Reliable transportation for daily school commute Capacity to work within the school schedule and manage assignment length
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students in a specialized setting Collaborate closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to individualize student care Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and reports related to student progress and compliance Participate actively in IEP meetings, goal development, and student planning Foster positive, encouraging environments that help students develop new skills This contract requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, distributed across five days, during the regular school schedule.
