Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, providing essential support to students during a 12-week FMLA leave coverage. Offering hands-on, on-site engagement in a supportive school district, this role is ideal for adaptable and passionate therapists.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Missouri Recent experience in school settings, delivering occupational therapy to children and adolescents Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation for K-12 students Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and district personnel Compliance with all district credentialing, including fingerprinting and submitting required technology forms
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate student needs and create individualized occupational therapy plans Deliver direct interventions for skill development, sensory regulation, and academic participation Maintain accurate session notes and progress reports Consult with educators and participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement Flexibly manage and prioritize caseload across one or more schools as assigned Ensure compliance with all state, district, and federal requirements
