School Occupational Therapist | Liberty, Missouri

Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school sites near Liberty, MO. This assignment runs from August 25th to December 18th, ending before winter break, and is perfect for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (or COTA) eager to empower students in a collaborative educational environment. As the provider for several school campuses, youll have autonomy in designing your weekly schedule, with the guidance and oversight of school leadership at the start of the year. You'll play a key role in ensuring consistent therapy for each student on your caseloadabout 32 direct students, delivering a total of 800 minutes per week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Missouri (COTAs considered) Previous experience working in school settings is highly desirable Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and documentation Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently while collaborating with educational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve a variety of elementary, middle, and high school students by providing individualized OT services Manage and prioritize a caseload across Oakwood Manor Elementary, Gracemor Elementary, NKC High School, and Northgate Middle Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students IEPs Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students educational success and participation Document interventions, progress notes, and maintain compliance with school and state regulations Embrace a full-time, contract schedule (approximately 8:00-4:00, 7.5 hours per day) where your expertise directly impacts the educational journeys of your students.
