School Occupational Therapist | Kansas City, Missouri

Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based Occupational Therapy opportunity supporting students across multiple campuses near Kansas City, MO. This is a contract role starting August 25th and continuing through December 18th, covering several elementary, middle, and high school sites. As an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, youll enjoy the autonomy to craft your weekly scheduleensuring every student on your caseload receives dedicated, high-quality service. As you settle in, initial guidance is provided, but youll quickly have the flexibility to organize your daily visits and adapt to the unique needs of each school with support as needed. This position offers a rewarding blend of independence and collaboration in a vibrant educational setting.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Missouri Experience in a school-based environment preferred Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and itineraries Passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and staff Enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to approximately 32 direct students (serving a total of around 800 minutes weekly) Travel between multiple assigned school sites to meet student needs Develop and implement personalized therapy programs Maintain thorough documentation and track progress Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Adjust interventions as needed to align with students IEP goals
